image Western Mail Welsh Secretary Peter Hain has angered business leaders by calling for City firms to donate two-thirds of their bonus pots to charity. The Mail’s editorial suggests Mr Hain is seeking to ingratiate himself with activists and unions in order to aid his deputy leadership campaign. Plaid Cymru will tomorrow urge the WAG to set an annual target to cut carbon dioxide emissions in Wales by 3%. Western Mail readers have voted Owain Glyndwr and St David as most deserving of being represented on a WAG coat of arms. image Welsh politicians and bloggers have been quick to respond to Peter Hain's essay on the 'Balkanisation' of the UK in today's Western Mail. The Welsh Secretary launched a strong defence of the UK, noting the benefits to Wales from the current arrangement and the perceived dangers of independence.
