
McDonald's has opened two restaurants in Japan that sell only Quarter Pounder meals (single or double). Aptly titled, Quarter Pounder, the restaurants are probably part of a marketing campaign to promote the burger which is not currently sold in regular McDonald's restaurants.

As the men got drunker, their timidity vanished. Chopsticks flashed above me as they navigated the buffet, taking their dinner from my curves and crevices.
For an hour and a half I laid there, while the men surrounding me drank and ate and stared, and sometimes poked at my bare body. Toward the end, I had to dart my eyes across the ceiling to avoid falling asleep. I was that comfortable, or that wishful for escape.

A tiny colony of yeast trapped inside a Lebanese weevil covered in ancient Burmese amber for up to 45 million years, has been brought back to life in barrels of beer.
Emeritus Professor Raul Cano of the California Polytechnic State University, originally extracted the yeast a decade ago and has used the reactivated yeast to brew barrels of pale ale and German wheat beer.
According to beer reviewers, the beer has "a weird spiciness at the finish" which is due to the ancient yeast's unique metabolism.......

I've just discovered the City Beer Store in San Francisco. This store is like a small piece of beer heaven. Sundance Channel
The Westlake Restaurant in Changsha, China is considered to be the largest Chinese restaurant in the world. It is set over 14 acres, with over 100 private dining rooms, pavilions, halls, Imperial Hall, and various stages for lives performances.
It seats 5,000 guests, employs more than 300 chefs, goes through 700 chickens and 200 snakes in a week, and supplements its food with diversions like stage shows. It recently catered a company banquet, serving 3,800 people simultaneously.
The restaurant has featured in a documentary which is on the BBC in the UK tonight (in an hour's time) and on the Sundance Channel in the US later tonight. Here's a clip from the show....

The owner of a flooded restaurant in China scrapped plans to close it down - after business picked up.
The heaviest rains in 50 years flooded the restaurant and after word spread quickly, they were struggling to keep up with the orders.
