Sumo Omni Review via A Welsh View August 24th, 2008 at 20:41

image The CEO of SumoLounge, Andrew Milligan (interview here), has been kind enough to send me one of their Omni chairs in exhange for my thoughts on the product. I’m always up for testing out products so was more than happy for him to send me one. The Omni is a giant chair (4.5' x 5.5') that’s similar to a bean bag but different. For a start it’s not a bag, rather it’s a giant pillow. It’s made from space age rip-proof nylon sand come filled with top quality virgin polystyrene foam, aka Sumo Beads. The chair is water resistant and stain which means that it will always look like new. The chair can be ‘moulded’ into a variety of shapes (there are 10 listed on the SumoLounge website) including some strange ones. This flexibility means that you can use the chair in a variety of...

Nokia DC-8 Extra Power Review via A Welsh View July 16th, 2008 at 22:07

image I'm a bit of a Nokia fanboy and have been purchasing a few accessories for my phones over the past few weeks. For anyone that's interested I'll be posting some reviews of them. First up is the DC-8 Extra Power charger. The Nokia DC-8 charger is a lipstick-sized charger that you can use to boost or recharge your Nokia phone on the go. The DC-8 uses AA batteries as the source of power which means that you if you run out of power you can buy a pack of regular batteries to recharge your phone. So far I've used it to charge my Nokia N95 8GB from almost empty to full. The battery I used in the DC-8 was an Energiser 2500mAh rechargeable which I thought would be able to recharge the the phone fully. The battery was able to recharge it to around 2/3 of full power before I had to use change the...

Asus eeePC 1000H Review via A Welsh View July 15th, 2008 at 22:53

image The main reasons for buying an eeePC was to have a portable laptop/netbook that I could take on holiday or carry around in my camera bag. The spec didn't need to be that fantastic so I the 1GB of RAM, 80GB HD and 1.6GHz Atom processor were more than enough. All I would want to do is browse the web and blog, transfer photos from my camera to the HD and maybe watch some movies. After using the netbook for a just under a week, here are my thoughts. First Impressions Before the eeePC arrived I knew that it was going to be small but it was a lot smaller than I expected. It's light but probably not as light as the smaller 701 & 900/901 models. It's also slighter bigger than the other models but the increased screen size and larger keyboard make up for it. Keyboard The keyboard is...

SanDisk Sansa Fuze Review via A Welsh View July 8th, 2008 at 20:58

image SanDisk have already released two MP3 players - the Clip and the View, but their latest MP3 player, the Fuze, is the first of the range that I've had a look at. (Note: this is a review model sent by SanDisk) I currently listen to music using my iPod (5.5G), iPod Nano (3G) and my Nokia phones and have done for the past 2 or 3 years so it was going to be interesting experiencing another MP3 player. The Fuze comes in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB flavours as well as in a variety of colours (which differ based on the size of player). I've got the 2GB version which can hold up to 6 hours of video, 500 songs or 1000 6MP photos. The battery lasts for up to 24 hours for music and 5 hours for video on a single charge. This is the same for all three versions. The device is sleek looking and rather than...
