Dwi wedi cael iPhone ers wythnos nawr, dwi ddim wedi sgwennu adolygiad ar y blog 'to oherwydd fyddai ddim yn ei ddefnyddio fel ffôn tan ar ôl steddfod gan fod chydig o wythnosau gyda fi redeg allan ar fy hen gontract gyntaf. Ond un peth sydd wedi fy nharu yn barod ydy'r diffyg rhwydwaith ffôn symudol 3G yng Nghymru. Fe gew chi signal da ar hyd coridor yr M4, signal yng Nghanol tre Bangor a chanol tre Aberystwyth ac hefyd ardal eang ym Meirionydd ac Eifionydd rhwng Penrhyndeudraeth draw i Grigieith am ryw reswm! Ond heblaw am hynny chew chi ddim lwc o gwbl. Edrychwch ar y map isod sy'n dangos y rhwydwaith 3G yng Nghymru:Yna cymharwch y rhwydwaith yn Lloegr i gymharu a'r rhwydwaith dros Gymru yn yr ail fap isod:Dwi'n ffodus mod i'n treulio y rhan fwyaf o fy amser ym Mangor ac Aber lle...

Pan wnes i brynnu fy Mac cyntaf dair blynedd yn ôl roeddw ni wedi fy mopio yn llwyr, roedd yn fyd cwbwl wahanol ac fel rhywun sy'n truluio oriau bob dwrnod (yn bennaf oherwydd natur fy ngwaith) ar y cyfrifiadur roedd newid o Windows i Mac mewn ffordd fe newidiodd fy mywyd. Dair mlynedd yn ddiweddarach dwi dal yn defnyddio yr yr cyfrifiadur ac mae e dal i deimlo fel defnyddio peiriant newydd sbon! Prin y byddai defnyddwyr Windows yn medru dweud hynny dair mlynedd ar ôl prynnu eu cyfrifiadur nhw. Ond maen rhaid i mi gyfaddef nad ydw i a gymaint o sêl (zeal) dros Apple ag oeddw ni a hynny oherwydd, mwy na thebyg, mod i wedi dod i gymryd yr holl brofiad yn ganiataol. Ond ar ôl bod adre a gwneud ambell i beth ar laptop Windows Mam dwi wedi cofio o'r newydd pa mor ryfeddol well ydy...
Thanks to Joe Wikert at Kindleville for the following:Mobipocket for the iPhone/iTouchEarlier this morning Kevin Tofel wrote a blog post about how there will be a Mobipocket app for the iPhone later this year. He then went on to question what sort of impact this will have on the Kindle. A couple of readers commented that a) the reading experience on a Kindle is much better than an iPhone/iTouch and b) Amazon owns Mobipocket, so they're not likely to kill their own device.True and true, but now that I've been using Mobipocket on my Blackberry for a bit I have to admit there are many other factors that come into play. Fodd bynnag fe adawodd rhywun sy'n gweithio i O2 neges anhysbys ar flog technoleg y BBC heddiw yn dweud:O2 has only secured a 1 year deal with apple - i work in head office for O2 - We have been forced to try and sell around 50,000 Iphones by June 1st or the contract will be open to the next biggest bidder (Vodafone or T-Mobile). I can confirm after June 1st and the release of the new Iphone it will be FREE on an 18month contract for the 8gb or £99.99 for the 16gb, the new Iphone is set to feature a...

Mae pawb sy'n fy adnabod i yn gwybod am fy hoffter heintus o feddalwedd a chaledwedd Apple rhagor na Microsoft a chwmniau PC's. I've not been blogging for a while and for that i apologise. Life's been dragging of recent and now i've decided to stop plodding along and actually start picking up a bit of steam!Firstly i would like to congratulate the Greys on their recent addition to the family! Baby Grey (Kyron) was born last tuesday/wednesday. awwwww :pSecondly i would like to congratulate myself on the purchase of a sexy new iPhone! i must admit is is nice. But it doesn't have the capability to be fiddled with like i like to do! Although i think the You Tube link off the home screen is dangerous. I've spent far too long watching random vids on there! mainly fonejacker, The Guild, the Postman Pat parodies! Its a nice toy dont get me wrong... but i want to change my ringtones and i want to install some more useful...

One of the latest iPhone commercials now features 3 MINI Cooper’s flying out of a drain tunnel - a scene from the great Italian Job movie.
The official Apple site features the same movie in small, medium, large and extra large versions. Maybe I need to start an iPhone fund?...
If the iPhone has done nothing else it has engendered a lot of debate about e-books! Obviously this has centred on how they can or may be displayed on the iPhone, the adequacy of the iPhone for this job. It has also produced a flurry of information about alternate platforms. Much of this discussion has taken place at TeleRead: Bring the E-Books Home. But other publications have appreared too! And these can be found from the usual place - my Writings about e-book publishing, 2007 page. I think the last item added was Bonita Wilson's editorial in D-Lib Magazine, Book Digitization Options for Libraries.Do visit the page if you get a chance - there is a lot there, and I add to it regularly!>>Technorati tags: ebooks; iPhone; readers>>IceRocket tags: ebooks; iPhone;...
Many of us who write and talk about the use of e-books see e-book readers such as the Sony Reader or the iRex iLiad as one market with huge potential that is still largely in its infancy (PDAs notwithstanding). At the same time the regular travellers amongst us worry about the amont of kit(and its associated chargers) we are forced to carry - laptops, readers, iPod, mobile phone, etc - and look forward to the day when convergent technologies wrap it all up in one neat (and smallish) box! I wrote of this here when the iPhone was launched as its screen and applications seemed ideal for the e-book market. Now TeleRead has reported that a reader did 'a little testing' and can read the Web versions of e-books that are available online at Manybooks. TeleRead (iPhone works with Manybooks.net,...
Ever since I heard/watched Steve Jobs presentation on the iPhone and heard him mention audiobooks, I was struck by the possibilities within the landscape-view 3.5 inch screen. It seems that I am not the only one! A posting on O'Reilly Radar points to another posting on BookSquare blog, and Tim O'Reilly, the anonymous BookSquare and I are of one mind - if the iPhone were to add e-book reading to its already wide spectrum of use, it would be not just a winner, but a must-have! While I am a great fan of e-Ink devices such as the iLiad (from iRex Technologies), it has always seemed to me that, for the money, I want convergence... and a device that not only presents a library of e-books as something that is e(asily)-readable, but that gives me, in one device, all the other technology I lug...
