A growing number of Aberdare people are Skip Diving as part of a healthier lifestyle.
We have added a smorgasbord of skip diving photos for apprentice divers to test their wits.
Which skips are worth a second look ? Which might contain treasure and pearls ?...

Aberdare Health Centre has been having some sort of a clear-out in the past few weeks.
Five of the resident doctors at the Health Centre retired on the same day in January 2007… it looks like the fresh faces are sprucing up their new offices!
Last week there was a nice metal filing cabinet destined for the dump. In today’s skip (see photo) there is an office desk in good condition.
Unfortunately, in 2007, there is no public service in Rhondda Cynon Taff to recycle unwanted furniture like this.
Rhondda Cynon Taff Council support & subsidise a ‘re-use’ charity called Valleys Furniture Recycling - trading as Too Good To Waste - but this organisation only re-use items in brand new condition. This relationship offers a convenient GREENWASH for the Local Council...

It can strike a man or woman with such force and come down sudden from heaven like the elements.
Snow, wind, or rain will not hold back the desire to dive for cast-off pearls and treasures.
In Cwmbach yesterday it struck in the snow - see the photograph.
