David James of Cynon Valley Ramblers has confirmed there will be another walk protesting against the proliferation of wind farms in South Wales. In Maesteg. The walk will be on Sunday 8th April 2007 and will be about 6/7 miles. The meeting place is Maesteg Sports Centre at 9.30 am. Please contact your local Ramblers group to confirm details....

The Ramblers’ Association have confirmed that there will be more Walks Against Windfarms organised in the South Wales Valleys, including Rhondda Cynon Taff. There is likely to be protest walk in Neath on March 3rd, a protest walk near Rhigos, and others. Details to be confirmed....

A Walk Against the Wind Farm is to be held at Dare Valley Country Park on January 13th 2007. Starts 10am from the Dare Valley Country Park Visitor Centre. The walk aims to raise awareness about the proposed wind farm to be sited near Cwmdare and running north to Hirwaun. Those who take part in the walk will be able to see first-hand where some of the 400ft wind-turbines might be located and discuss their effects on the local environment. David James, Chairman of Cynon Valley Ramblers has organised the event. He advises sturdy boots and estimates that the walk should last around two and a half hours.
