The Arc sculpture in Wrexham via Aberdare Blog August 18th, 2007 at 19:28

image Photographs of The Arc sculpture by David Annand now available in the gallery. http://www.aberdareblog.co.uk/photographs/sculptures-and-monuments/the-arc-bwa-sculpture/ Annand depicts two workers in an almost playful pose. It’s a very unusual composition and hard to ignore in the centre of Wrexham main shopping district. Blog, miners, monuments, photos, sculpture,...

Tymor arall drosodd, creisis arall drosodd. via Gwenu dan Fysiau May 13th, 2007 at 17:30

image Mond rwan dwi'n cael cyfle i lawrlwytho fy lluniau o'r gêm rhwng Wrecsam a Boston penwythnos diwethaf ble roedd yn rhaid i'r ddau dîm ennill i sircrhau aros yn y gyngrhair.Roedd dau flogiwr arall yno hefyd.Yn y cyfamser dyma fi'n chwilio am luniau o'r diwrnod ar Flickr, a darfod, rhain, rhain a rhain.Dyma fferfrynau o'r tri casgliad:Un cefnogwr am ddangos ei werthfawrogiad i Danny Williams mewn ffordd arbennig!Un cefnogwr yn methu erdych wrth i Wrecsam unioni gyda chic o'r smotyn. Y Kop yn orlawn ar gyfer y gêm gynrhair olaf o'i flaen yn ei ffurf bresenol cyn iddo gael ei ddymchwel yn yr haf.Llun hollol cawslyd gan Gary o'i gyd sylwebwyr ond un sy'n dod a gwên i'm gwyneb. Y Dihangfa Mawr via Clecs Cilgwri May 6th, 2007 at 00:56

Wel llwyddodd Wrecsam i ddianc y cwymp allan o bel droed 'y cynghrair' trwy curo 'Y Pererinwyr' o Foston 3-1, ond nad ydy'r canlyniad hon yn adlewyrchu'r naw deg munud o'r gem mewn gwirionydd. Hanner amser, roedd Wrecsam yn colli 0-1 ac tasai'r gem i aros yr un sgor, mi fasai Wrecsam wedi bod yn chwarae yn y 'Conffrens' flwyddyn nesa. Mi darodd Wrecsam yn ol wedi i'r egwyl, ond cyn iddynt mynd ymlaen i sicrhau eu buddigoliaeth yn hwyr yn y gem, mi saethodd chwaraewr Boston dros y trawsbren o dua dwy medr allan. Ond dyna pel droed i chi ynde! gem sy'n gallu troi mor gyflym ac sy'n gallu creu y ffasiwn cyffro a welom ni y p'nawn yma. Mi aeth pawb ar y cae i ddathlu (er gwaethaf y rhybuddion di-pwrpas i beidio!) mewn golygfeydd anhygoel dwi heb weld yn y Cae Ras ers talwm. Roedd pawb...

An Indy Fling with BBC Wales via Aberdare Blog January 17th, 2007 at 12:13

image Like a bitch on heat the BBC in Wales wants a fling… with independence. BBC Wales political editor Betsan Powys is not alone singing the praise of the indy thing. In Wrexham there are BBC personnel working on a project to establish an independent media centre for Wales. The independent media centre aims to be a part of the world-wide Indymedia network. Local Assembly Member John Marek’s party – Forward Wales – is also involved in the project, along with the Wrexham Peace and Justice group, anarchists, socialists, pacifists, and many other “ists” … including our very own endangered species the Welsh journalist. On the eve of the Welsh Assembly election the people of Wales have no independent media network to articulate their political aspirations. The old...

Blogmeet in the Old Harkers Arms, Chester via The Gospel According To Rhys July 10th, 2006 at 14:20

image I've been blogging for over four years now, and I've never met anybody through blogging. It's a bit of a shame really, as I think there are some amazing people on the links bar, who I would quite happily go for a few drinks with. Nevertheless, I've never actually plucked up the courage to go on a blogmeet: primarily because I've never been near one. Until now. You see, surfing through blogs at Blogadvance (note to all, it pisses over Blogexplosion from a great height), I came across International Andy's blog. The blog is about a guy who has travelled the world (hence International) and is called Andy (hence Andy). He has settled in Chester, and is organising a blogmeet in The Old Harkers Arms in Chester. I think it's near the station, looking at the map on their website. It also appears...
